Beylerbeyi Palace

Beylerbeyi Palace, meaning "The lord of the lords", was built by the orders of Sultan Abdul Aziz , as a summer residence. The palace was designed by Sarkis Balyani and the construction work  finished in 1865.

The palace is situated on the Asian side of the Bosphorus, and the best view of the palace can be seen from Bosphorus, where one can see the Harem ( womens part), Selamlik ( mens part) and the two bathrooms. The reception hall is also worth seeing with its pool and fountain.
